It's been a while since former Oklahoma State receiver Justin Blackmon has suited up for the Jacksonville Jaguars, but Jags owner Shad Khan awaits his return.

In an interview with the Florida-Times Union, Khan was asked if he would welcome back the team's former receiver if he was to be reinstated. Khan replied, “Absolutely. As a matter of fact, I'm very optimistic. I think he's paid his dues. I think he's got his life together. I think he can be a role model for people who have gone through hard times. We're waiting for him.”

Blackmon is free to apply for reinstatement from his substance-abuse suspension, and after he does so, the NFL has 60 days to make a decision.

Blackman has been in a treatment program since his suspension.

You may recall, he was arrested back in July after police found three grams of marijuana in his vehicle.

The receiver was being stopped for a traffic violation when the discovery was made. He was then suspended from the NFL, and voluntarily joined the treatment program to tackle his issue.

Due to this incident, Blackmon has missed more than a year on the field, and faces the possibility of being permanently banned from the league.
