Chocolatier Sweetens Romantic Broken Arrow On Valentine's Day

Romance is in the air everywhere - and nowhere more than in Broken Arrow. The city is near the top of Amazon.com's list of America's romantic cities.

And nothing says romance like hundreds and hundreds of gorgeous chocolates.

Christine Josephand is the owner of Nouveau Atlier de Chocolat, a sweets shop at 205 South Main Street in Broken Arrow. She says the name means "the workplace of chocolate."

Everywhere you look there's chocolate. Business has been steady all this week leading up to Valentine's Day.

Valentines is crazy time in the chocolate busies - but why, I wondered?

"It just makes you feel good," Josephand said. "When you are in love, you feel good too - put those two together what more can you ask for?"

During the Valentine's rush, she brings in extra people, and she's making chocolates all day long. Does she ever get tired of all that chocolate?

"After Valentine's there have been days, I tell my husband - don't bring me any chocolate," said Nouveau Atlier de Chocolat owner Christine Josephand.

"As you can see it doesn't last. A couple days and I say lets get back to it."

She says she'll be open Valentines day until she runs out. That's a lot.

Broken Arrow eats a lot of chocolate. They read a lot of romance novels, rent a lot of romantic comedy movies, they've been named one of America's top romantic cities, and they've got the Rose District.
