TULSA, Oklahoma -

Tulsans have been grabbing three coneys with chili cheese and onions at the little shop on 4th Street in downtown Tulsa for decades; but now the Coney Island shop is making a move.

The little shop has been there or within a block of there for 89 years.

Jim Economou's father opened Tulsa's first fast food place back in the 20s.

"They wanted something that could be easily carried back and forth to work or whatever," Jim said.

Worked then, and it's working now.

Vicki Economou is running the business now and she said the family got together and decided they need to make a few changes.

"What can we do to keep the coney here for another 89 years," she said.

They decided to move. The current neighborhood isn't what it once was and there's no parking, so they've found a spot a few blocks north in the Brady District.

"Our goal is to not change the ambiance at all," Vicki said.

So they're taking everything with them - the school desks, the food line, the grill - and customers like Mike Mulinax who started coming when he was 8 years old.

"We went to summer camp up at First Baptist Church. We'd sneak out and come down here for chili cheese," he said.

The new place will have extended hours and even be open on Saturdays. They hope to be moved in next month.
