TULSA, Oklahoma -

A new face emerges in the search for clues in a deadly shooting at a Tulsa senior living center.

Tulsa police homicide detectives believe 55-year-old Joe Brown might have the gun used in the shootings.

The surviving victim called 911 just after noon; eight hours later police began searching for Joe Brown, hoping to bring him in for questioning.

Detectives want to question him in the beating and shooting of one man, and for the murder of another who laid shot dead inside his apartment at the Jordan Plaza Senior Housing community.

Police said Brown lives in this quiet complex, along with the victims.

"We never have this type of problem happening. This is really rare," neighbor Dan Bitson said.

Preacher Jim Caldwell with St. Monica Catholic Church said, "It's very quiet. It's very, um, there's not a lot that happens here."

But not Tuesday, as police sorted through trash and knocked on doors to find clues connected to the homicide.

Detectives found cell phones and other evidence in the apartment that they said led police to believe Brown was there the night of the shooting.

"Ultimately we have a very good homicide unit and you've seen them work in the past, they're working right now," Tulsa Police Officer Leland Ashley said.

Detectives are still investigating the motive, and searching for Brown.

He's described as 5-feet-10-inches tall, 180 pounds and possibly on crutches.

If you have any information, call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.

Police said he could be armed.
