Where OU Meets TU: Woodard Parents Discuss Travel Between Games

TULSA, Oklahoma -

Jordan Woodard's parents, Marcus and Petra Woodard, were able to be in Columbus to watch OU move into the Sweet 16. They were also on hand to watch his older brother James play on Monday night.

Now, that's dedication.

Less than 24 hours after enjoying the Sooners' success in Ohio, they were in the Reynolds Center, hoping to see their older son James and the Golden Hurricane come through as their younger son Jordan and the Sooners did on Sunday.

"We went straight to Arcadia. I went home and showered and shaved and went to work. My boss let me leave a little bit early, so I came home and we prepared to come up here to the game," said Marcus.

James explained, that's how his father operates. "He's a machine, a late night, early mornings type of dude. He always wakes up early, and he just makes sure he's, you know, doing everything right."

TU fell short against Murray State, so it was back to Arcadia for mom and dad, but Jordan and the Sooners aren't done. "It was incredible. They fought to the end, maintained their calmness and weathered the storm, [and] was able to get a run at the end. They locked down on defense and came out with the W."

As for the family's plans for Syracuse, Marcus said: "Those are still in the works."
