MUSKOGEE COUNTY, Oklahoma -

The same line of storms that spun up a deadly tornado in Sand Springs last week may have also contributed to the death of two people in Muskogee County.

Webbers Falls area residents say the low water bridge off of 213th Street was up to 12 feet when the storms rolled through Muskogee County and high waters swept away a pickup truck.

Rescuers found the two drowning victims a day apart.

First responders found the bodies of Emma Reece and Wade Kellogg after an exhaustive search of a creek west of Webbers Falls.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol found Reece in the pickup on Friday and Kellogg a day later about a quarter mile downstream.

Muskogee County deputies were the first to arrive at the low water bridge when they learned the high water swept a truck away.

"It was not fully submerged but almost; the deputy swam out there to see if anybody was in it and did find a body in there," said Chief Deputy Brandon Caster, Muskogee County Sheriff's Office.

Chief Deputy Brandon Caster says a tow truck driver had to get extra cable to pull the truck out .

"It was far enough off down the creek we couldn't get a vehicle down there, so we actually had to walk down there where it was actually at," Caster said.

OHP is investigating this as an accident and are waiting on results from the medical examiners office to see what may have caused the drowning.
