Cory Henton was booked into jail Friday after reports of a relationship with a 15-year-old girl surfaced.

According to an affidavit, on March 22, 2015 Henton went to the high school principal's office and told him about a rumor that he and a 15-year-old were in a gym locker room together and the door was locked.

The report says Henton told the principal, James Bryant, that he held an open gym event and that he and the girl were putting basketballs away in the room but the door was locked.

On March 23, Henton was asked to return to Bryant's office to speak with the superintendent and a Jay police officer, the affidavit says. According to the officer, Henton said he wouldn't talk in front of him without a lawyer.

The report says that once the interview between Henton, Bryant and the superintendent finished, Henton “stormed off and left” before the officer could speak with him.

The affidavit says on March 24, three students went to Bryant and told them they went to the open gym event and said they became “suspicious of Henton and the student's actions and began to watch the two close.”

The students said when it was time to leave they waved as if they were going but went back to the gym. The report says they didn't see the two, but remembered them being near the equipment room. They said when they tried to open the door they couldn't.

According to the report, the students said when Henton and the girl came out, she was “obviously embarrassed, red faced and was panting.”

Bryant later found school surveillance video supporting the students' story.

During a police investigation, members of Henton's basketball team stated he favored the 15-year-old and that she was seen in his office several times and always sat next to him when they traveled.

Officers said they interviewed the 15 year old and she admitted to kissing Henton in his office, the school arena and while on a basketball trip to Oklahoma City.

The report says the student told them each incident was kissing and that Henton never touched her inappropriately. She told police that he made her feel special and she could talk to him about anything and that they said they loved each other.

Henton was booked on two counts of lewd molestation and held on a $40,000 bond but is now out of jail.

The school suspended Henton and has set a termination hearing for next month.
