WASHINGTON - Jenks High School students have been released from lockdown after a shooting at the U.S. Capitol. Members of the Trojans Wind Symphony competed in the President's Cup Invitational in D.C. and were touring historic sites when the shooting took place.

The precautionary lockdown of the U.S. Capitol came after a man fatally shot himself. The Jenks musicians were at the Library of Congress during the incident.

They put the following message on Facebook after being released:

Wind Symphony Families: There was an incident outside the Library of Congress while we were inside. Capitol police say it was a probable suicide. No one else was in danger and everyone was on lockdown until they could secure the scene. We have been released and are now on our way to Arlington National Cemetery.

The man died after shooting himself on the west front of the Capitol building just after 1 p.m., Capitol Police spokeswoman Kimberly Schneider said. No one else was hurt.

Officials from the FBI's Washington field office told CBS News that the shooting was not believed to be related to terrorism. The FBI's joint terrorism task force was on the scene providing bomb squad support.

During the lockdown, no one was allowed to enter or exit the Capitol and the visitors' center, and some streets around the complex were closed.
