A small earthquake shook up residents near Medford, Okla., in Grant County, Sunday morning.
The 3.1 magnitude earthquake struck at approximately 7:10 a.m.
Its epicenter was located 12 miles southwest of Medford, 21 miles north of Enid, and 46 miles west of Ponca City at a depth of just over a mile.
No injuries or damages have been reported at this time.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely with quakes at magnitudes 4.0 and higher.
