Jury Selection Begins For Tulsa Man Charged With Killing Mother

Jury selection began Tuesday in the trial of a Tulsa man charged in his mother's murder two years ago.

Henry "Hank" Laird was 17 years old when he pleaded not guilty to beating Linda Laird to death.

Police said the two had a violent relationship.

A judge delayed Laird's trial last May, fearing the potential sentence for a first degree murder conviction could violate the constitutional rights of the young defendant.
