Man Injured Pushing Shopping Cart Down Tulsa Street

Tulsa emergency responders say a man pushing a shopping cart was injured in a collision with a pickup Tuesday morning. The man is being treated for injuries after the crash in the 5100 block of East Pine.

Police at the scene said the driver of a Chevy pickup was eastbound in the outside lane just before 7 a.m. when he clipped the shopping cart. The pedestrian was walking westbound facing traffic.

The man pushing the cart fell and may have a broken arm. EMSA took him to the hospital.

The pickup truck driver said he didn't see the man or the cart before striking them with his right front bumper.

It's not clear if he was going to be cited. Police said they were investigating the injury collision.
