3.0 Magnitude Earthquake Recorded Near Helena

A 3.0 magnitude earthquake was recorded near Helena, Oklahoma, Friday afternoon.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, this earthquake was recorded at 12:57 p.m. Its epicenter was located seven miles north of Helena and 27 miles northwest of Enid.

It was about five miles deep.

No injuries or damage were immediately reported.
