OWASSO, Oklahoma -

Owasso Police are looking for the person they say shot a man at a Kum & Go in Owasso during rush hour.

Police said what scares them the most is that the shooter fired with many people around which could have led to several more victims.

They said one person was shot and that they are looking at surveillance video and interviewing witnesses.

The victim is now in the hospital in an unknown condition.

Police haven’t released many details but believe a white vehicle in the parking lot was involved because it hasn't moved since the shooting.

"It's a very safe community and obviously this being 5:00 rush hour traffic it wasn't the expected, the norm. There was a lot of witnesses to the incident, we've got some good information and we're doing the best we can with it now," said Nick Boatman with Owasso Police.

Owasso resident, Jared Bruner said, "I was just driving by and I usually come up here quite a bit and I just seen this happen so I just pulled up here and asked people."

Police are still looking for the shooter.
