A small earthquake shook up residents near Crescent, Okla., in Logan County Thursday evening.
The 3.1 magnitude earthquake struck at approximately 8:39 p.m.
Its epicenter was located three miles north northeast of Crescent, 11 miles northwest of Guthrie, and 24 miles north northwest of Edmond at a depth of just over two miles.
No injuries or damages associated with the earthquake have been reported.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely with quakes at magnitudes of 4.0 and higher.
