2012 Creek County Wildfires Suspect Still On The Run

Posted: Updated:
CREEK COUNTY, Oklahoma -

Three years after devastating wildfires, Creek County continues to rebuild.

The fires burned more than 60,000 acres and destroyed more than 400 homes.

Joe Anaya and his family lost everything. He's spent more than two years rebuilding his home by himself.

“You find the strength to, not necessarily leave it in the past, but to know how to better yourself from it,” Anaya said.

Creek County Sheriff John Davis says Billy Cloud remains one of Creek County's most wanted. Cloud is accused of starting the fire by throwing down a lit cigarette.

The sheriff says Cloud disappeared before deputies could arrest him and hasn't been seen since.

“It's almost like a needle in a haystack,” Davis said. “That's why we need to public's help to provide any tip of information that they can so we can get this guy arrested.”

A family member says he heard Cloud was in Florida.
