OOLOGAH, Oklahoma -

It's the 80th year since the deadly plane crash that killed Oklahoma's favorite son Will Rogers and his co-pilot Wiley Post. On the anniversary of the crash, pilots held a fly-in at Rogers' birthplace outside Oologah.

The event memorialized the two men who loved aviation.

There were already about 50 planes that arrived early Saturday morning, a classic car show and lots of activities for kids.

Tad Jones of the Will Rogers Museum said this year is special because it is held on the 80th anniversary of the plane crash. They had a Moment of Remembrance at 10 a.m. to honor all those who lost their lives in small aircraft accidents.

Lester Lurk and Joe Bacon, also known as Will and Wiley, were on hand to represent the famous aviators.

There was no charge though donations are accepted. Food concessions were available.
