The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is looking into an allegation of official misconduct at the Delaware County Jail

OSBI was contacted by Sheriff Harlan Moore for a possible internal investigation, the Grove Sun reports.

Jessica Brown, OSBI spokesperson, said the conduct involves an employee at the jail. She did not identify the employee, pending official charges.

Moore said he asked OSBI officials to conduct the investigation because it involved an internal investigation concerning an employee.

"I wanted another agency to investigate it," Moore said.

Moore declined to answer additional questions regarding the investigation, including who the employee was, or what the alleged misconduct involved. He also declined to answer if it was an employee or a prisoner who made the allegations against the individual.

"It's an ongoing investigation," Moore said. "I've asked another agency to do it. I won't issue a statement until [the findings] come back from the OSBI."
