BIXBY, Oklahoma -

Bixby Police arrested a man Sunday evening after officers caught him inside an EMSA ambulance.

A paramedic told officers a man was inside the ambulance parked on West Dawes Avenue at about 8:30 p.m. Officers opened the door and found Michael Scalf, 28.

Police said they found several vials and pills in his pockets. Police said Scalf told them he had taken similar drugs from another EMSA ambulance on October 22.

Bixby Police booked Michael Scalf into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of burglary of vehicle, possession of stolen property and possession of a controlled drug.

Jail records show Scalf has a court appearance set for November 16.
