Golden Hurricane Starts Prep For Independence Bowl

Practice in December in near 70-degree weather is a new experience for many, but not for Tulsa Coach Philip Montgomery because he is used to yearly bowl trips. 

As for the mix of fun with practice, Montgomery says you have to balance it out.

“You got to balance it out a little bit; you can't grind them. These first three or four practices here are going to be about us. Next week, we'll start in on Virginia Tech.” explained Montgomery. “We're going to have a good time. We always have a good time, especially this time of year. But, we'll really get focused in next week and then the following week we'll be into a game type of week."
