The Oral Roberts men's basketball team continued to be dominant at home in an 88-53 victory over John Brown University Wednesday night at the Mabee Center.

The Golden Eagles led for 38 minutes in the game, moving to 8-2 on the season. ORU has now led for at least 37 minutes in all four regular season home games this year. All 13 players who saw action for ORU scored in the game and the home team had four players hit double-figures. Obi Emegano led the way with 14 points in 17 minutes, whileKris Martin scored 13, Javan White added 11 and DaQuan Jeffries chipped in 10 to go with his nine rebounds. Albert Owens also grabbed nine boards.

Turning Point
After a JBU 3-pointer to start the game, ORU answered with an 11-0 run and the game was never in doubt.

Quote of the Game
"It's always a fun night when you get to play everyone, and we got out of it what we wanted to. I thought our freshman played well. Javan showed his skill level tonight. It was a good game, especially right in the middle of finals." – Head Coach Scott Sutton

Individual Leaders
Oral Roberts: Despite playing just 17 minutes, Emegano led the way in scoring with 14 points. Owens and Jeffries each grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.
John Brown: Griffin Brady led JBU with 13 points, while Ricky Roberts added 11. Miguel Martinez came off the bench to grab eight boards.

Inside the Box Score
- ORU notched its second 30-point win of the season and the largest margin of victory since topping Tabor by 41 last year.

- ORU shot 48.7 percent (37-76) from the field, despite a 26 percent (6-23) mark from beyond the arc. The Golden Eagles also uncharacteristically struggled from the free throw line, hitting just 53.3 percent (8-15) from the line.

- John Brown launched 38 3-pointers, hitting 26 percent (10-38). That mark tied the ORU opponent record for 3-point attempts, matching the 38 shot by Hendrix College in 1989.

- ORU dominated points in the paint (48-14), fast break points (24-5) and bench points (49-18), and thanks to a 60-38 rebounding advantage, an 18-3 advantage in second chance points.

- The +22 rebounding advantage for ORU was the most since out-rebounding Haskell 58-35 last season.

News and Notes
- ORU has matched its best 10-game start since the 2004-05 season when ORU won eight straight to begin the year before dropping the next two.

- Emegano played a career-low in minutes and did not attempt a free throw for just the fourth time in his ORU career.

- Emegano broke his streak of eight straight games with at least 20 points, but kept his double-digit scoring streak intact, stretching it to 16 consecutive games.

- In his first significant action of the season, White set season bests in points (11), field goals (5), rebounds (4), assists (4) and tallied his first block of the year.

Up Next
ORU hits the road for the next five games to end the calendar year and begin Summit League play. The road stretch begins Saturday as the Golden Eagles take on Oklahoma in Norman.
