QuikTrip Amongst Places Open On Christmas Day

It's Christmas so not that many places are open, but we found a few.

Jimmy Hawthorne surprised his parents for Christmas, but he needed to make a quick pit stop.

He's glad QuikTrip store kept the pumps on and the doors open.

“I was pretty excited because I was almost on E and I was like, ‘gosh I need to swing by the nearest gas station to get some gas,’" said said Hawthorne.

The clerks at QuikTrip stayed busy and got a couple rushes of customers throughout the day.

Once all the presents are open, what do you do? Grab a big pizza for the kids playing their new video games of course! Or maybe you just need some "fuel for the road." How about a pretzel?

“To be honest I was kind of bah humbugging that people who said they were open on Christmas, but like right now we're headed out of town. We didn't want to stop cooking something at home, so we needed to grab something," explained QT customer Candace Brand.

If you don't need food or gas, there's another place that always fills up on Christmas: the movies.

Moviegoers lined up to get tickets to see their favorite flick. The Vest's jumped in line to see Star Wars.

I think this [is] kind of normal. Usually it's always been a little busy,” recalled shopper Heather Vest. “I don't feel like it's overly crowded.”

Seeing a movie on Christmas is becoming a tradition for them.

“It's all about being together with people you love and with everyone being off of work what better time to come do it?," asked William Vest.

And Winterfest, the ice skating rink outside the BOK Center, opened up. They'll welcome skaters till 11.
