It was beginning to feel nothing like Christmas for the hordes of people visiting Turkey Mountain.

The cooler temperatures made it a bit easier to walk off the holiday meal.

"No turkey for Turkey Mountain, just some fried eggs and coffee cake, and too much of everything," said hiker Russell Cobb.

For the past two Christmas Day's, the temperature stayed around 60 degrees. The last time it was hotter was back in 1971. The high was 72 degrees.

The Cobb family is visiting from Canada.

"We're here from out of town,” explained Rachel Cobb. “I grew up here and I said what better way to go walking on a beautiful day like this. Thank Turkey Mountain.”

They say up there the temperatures have fallen below zero.

"We actually live in Canada in Alberta, where it's super, super cold right now," added Rachel.

This Christmas they are happy to leave that behind.

Judging by the all the people that attended the park this holiday, walking their dogs, running, and playing in the fields. They are happy to be getting a break from it all too.

Everyone except for Eduardo Arriago.

"It's not gonna snow. [I] really thought it was gonna snow."

Arriago lives in Tulsa now but is originally from California. He was hoping to make snow angels. Since that won't happen, he'll try for something else.

"We actually want to go visit some more lakes and all that," he said.

And with weather like this, it may not be such a bad idea.
