Police Investigate Armed Robbery Of Owasso Sporting Goods Store

Two men used a handgun to rob a sporting goods store in Owasso Saturday.

According to Owasso Police, two men robbed the Hibbett Sports on 96th Street North at about 10:15 on January 8, 2016.

Police said two men walked into the store just before closing. One of them pulled a handgun and ordered the two female employees into the bathroom. 

The robbers forced their way into the manager’s office and took about $4000 in cash and merchandise before running away, police said. The two employees were not physically harmed and called police after the robbers left.

Police said there is no surveillance video of the incident and didn't have specific descriptions.
