The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says firefighters extracted a pickup driver after a crash east of Catoosa Friday morning.

Troopers said the crash happened on NS 4110 Road just north of Highway 412 at about 9:30 a.m.

They said the driver, Jason Waszut, 39, of Tulsa went off the road striking a utility pole.  Catoosa firefighters cut the driver out of the 2001 Dodge pickup and a medical helicopter flew him to a Tulsa hospital.

The OHP says the cause of the crash was drug related.
