Warmer Weather Draws Hikers, Cyclists To Tulsa's Turkey Mountain

With the warmer weather this weekend, many folks were out early Saturday hiking on Tulsa's Turkey Mountain Urban Wilderness.

Compared to several weekends ago, the trails on the mountain at 68th and Elwood in southwest Tulsa are dry and lots of people were out early Saturday enjoying the view, warmer temps and the clear sky.

Authorities caution those headed to the Turkey Mountain Urban Wilderness to not leave anything valuable in you are hiking or riding the many trails.  They say thieves can break and steal them.

And finally, because of the gusty southerly winds and warmer temps, officials caution hikers and bikers to not smoke in the wilderness area.
