A man involved in a wild crash in Tulsa Monday morning wasn't badly hurt, according to Tulsa Police.
Tulsa Police said a man driving a red Jeep Cherokee was eastbound on Pine when it went out of control, spun off the road and knocked out a chain link fence in front of a house. Police said the force of the impact knocked parts of fence into the house and caused some damage to it.
"There was smoke everywhere. You couldn't see the street," said Kesha Johnson. Johnson works at Tulsa's Gifted Braiders Hair Salon across the street from where the crash happened.
"We basically see everything, all day, every day," said her co-worker Sharne Vick. "We just ran out here to see if he was alright and he looked like he was." Vick said the man told her he was 22 years old. He also told them he wasn't hurt.
Johnson and Vick said the Jeep was traveling at a high rate of speed when it spun out more than once, went airborne and crashed into their neighbor's yard.
"We honestly thought he was going to come into the building. I'm like, 'Please don't come into the building!'" Vick said. "My clients are in there, we thought we were GONE!"
Police didn't immediately release the driver's name but said he will be cited for reckless driving. EMSA took him to the hospital to be checked out.
