Bixby Native Chris Harris Visits Tulsa, Talks Winning Super Bowl 50

For Super Bowl 50 champion Chris Harris, it's nice to be home taking pictures with Tulsans and signing autographs.

“Just been a really hectic schedule and it feels good to be home,” said the Denver Broncos cornerback. “It's kind of still fresh, man. It's only a couple weeks ago that we won it so it's still fresh, and it's just a crazy feeling, man, that you hear that Super Bowl 50 Champion."

The local Bixby product has returned back to his roots as a champion as part of the No Fly Zone. He still claims it was one of the most dominant defensive performances in postseason history.

"The new age offense and the rules, it's hard to compare us to those teams,” said Harris. “I don't think any other teams had to go through a stretch of those type caliber quarterbacks in a row to be able to win a Super Bowl."

It's the latest chapter in Harris' career, a completion of going from undrafted out of Kansas to parading and holding the Vince Lombardi Trophy. He always remembers his humble beginnings.

“It's just amazing where I came from,” stated Harris. “Really, it kind of shows everybody that you can be undrafted to an All-Pro to a Pro Bowl.”

Now home at least for the weekend, the one thing he wants to do the most is eat some home cooked food.

"Being in Denver, you don't get the same type of food in Oklahoma, so that's something definitely something I looking forward too," he said smiling.
