Fire Weather Watch Set For Part Of NE Oklahoma Tuesday

Posted: Updated:
TULSA, Oklahoma -

Despite recent rainfall, the passage of a cold front Tuesday morning will enhance fire danger, especially in areas north of Tulsa.

Behind Tuesday's front, temperatures will remain mild as relative humidity values drop and winds gust up to 30 m.p.h. While the threat may be tempered a bit by the recent moisture, much of the vegetation still remains dormant.

Should a fire start, flames could spread rapidly in Tuesday's weather conditions. The threat should lower for the rest of the week as winds subside.

When the fire weather watch is in effect, outdoor burning is not recommended.
