TULSA, Oklahoma -

Tulsa Police arrested a man who they say tried to break into or carjack at least six drivers armed with a railroad spike.

Officers say his name is 35-year-old Gabriel Simon and he's now in jail.

Police say several of the incidents caused Tulsa Community College and Bishop Kelley near 41st and Yale to go to lockdown Wednesday morning.

In Simon's police arrest report everything started when Simon was looking at cars in the parking lot of a nursing home.  A couple hours later, police say he tried to force a man to hand over his car keys by threatening him with a railroad spike, but the would-be victim acted like he had a gun and Simon ran off.

Police say at least five other attempted carjackings or car break-ins, including one where he jumped in front of a moving car.  Officers set up a perimeter and used a K-9 officer to track Simon and found him hiding in a nearby drainage pipe.

Several victims were taken to that scene and identified Gabriel Simon as the suspect.

He is being held on complaints of Attempted Robbery With A Firearm, Robbery By Force and Fleeing From A Police Officer.  Jail records show Gabriel Simon is being held on a $405,000 bond with a court appearance set for April 20.
