Mayes County Prosecutor Wins Appeal In Murder Case

Posted: Updated:
MAYES COUNTY, Oklahoma -

The Mayes County prosecutor has won an appeal to charge three people with murder, even though some of the suspects never even met the victim.

They say Jennifer McNulty died of a drug overdose in October 2014.

Prosecutors followed the drug trail backward and arrested six people, including her son.

The DA originally charged all six with murder.

A judge dropped the murder charges, but the prosecutor appealed.

A higher court says three of the suspects can be charged with murder and all could be charged with conspiracy to distribute drugs.

The prosecutor plans to continue his appeal  hopefully to be able to try all of them for murder.
