TULSA, Oklahoma -

A man charged in a rape case involving a student at Hale High School is scheduled to be in court Wednesday. Sean Adams is charged with - and has pleaded not guilty to - two counts of first-degree rape and another felony count of forcible sodomy.

In February police said they responded to a report at Hale by a 17-year-old special needs student who said she was raped by a classmate. She said Adams grabbed her by the arm, walked her off campus and took her behind a dumpster at a nearby business. When she refused to perform sexual acts, he got angry and sexually assaulted her, according to police.

Detectives said they have a lot of physical evidence connecting Adams to the crime. News On 6 reached out to attorneys for defense and prosecution. Adams' attorney did not want to comment, and the district attorney's office has not yet returned our call.

He is due in court at 9 a.m. for a district court arraignment.
