TULSA, Oklahoma -

A man named Marcelino Dela Cruz is in jail after police said he shot at a woman who threatened to leave him. He was booked into jail early Tuesday where he remains for an immigration check.

Police were called to the 1100 block of North New Haven Monday night. Police said a woman threatened to leave him, and he threatened to kill her.

A woman there told officers the 34-year-old Dela Cruz shot at her and almost hit her.

They found a firearm on Dela Cruz and booked him on a complaint of shooting with intent to kill. The jail website lists an alternate spelling of his first name as Marcelind.
