Hearing Set For Tulsa Mom Accused Of Trying To Kill Her Kids

A judge has set a preliminary hearing for a 32-year-old Tulsa woman accused of trying to kill her two children earlier this month.

Kristan Kirk is charged attempted first-degree arson and two counts of child neglect.  Police said Kirk thought her two children, ages six and nine years old, were cannibals.  

They said a maintenance man at Kirk's apartment complex called the fire and police departments after finding the two children alone in a smoke filled apartment.

Court records show the preliminary hearing is set for September 1.
