TULSA, Oklahoma -

A judge decided there is enough evidence for the suspects in the Ted's Hamburgers murder case to stand trial.

It's been more than a year since Ted's Hamburger owner James Coulson was found stabbed to death inside his business.  Prosecutors say Alcon Sanders and Clifford Owens killed Coulson last August.

"The family in this case has been very involved. And they are obviously heartbroken by the loss they've suffered,” prosecutor Julie Doss said.

It took a few months, but police arrested Sanders and Owens.

Now, the case can move forward after the final witness testified Thursday.

Doss said, "We're glad the judge made the right decision in binding this over, and we're ready to get the case prepared for trial and to get some justice."

"We really want to get this set for trial as fast as we can. And we really think there are some issues, and my client looks forward to proving his case in court," said defense attorney April Seibert.

For about an hour, attorney's questioned the witness, Jeffrey Cobbs. He's Owens' brother and is also currently in jail, accused of robbery.

Cobbs testified he knew his brother and Sanders were planning to rob Ted's Hamburgers.

He said he also knew about the murder, but the defense questions his credibility - Seibert said. “It’s a big issue.”

While testifying, Cobbs often said he couldn't remember times and dates, but prosecutors said they are confident in the witness and evidence.

Coulson was a long-standing member of the community and is remembered for his kindness and generosity.
