Singing Tulsa Educator Selected As 'Impactful Teacher'

News On 6 is proud to help recognize "Impactful Teachers" in the Tulsa area.

Meagan Farley and LeAnne Taylor surprised a third grade teacher this week at Tulsa Legacy Charter School who changes lyrics of hip hop songs to match her lessons.

She is Shannon Isaacs.

Shannon received $250 from Bob Hurley Ford and says she plans to buy new books for her students.

"It's important that each student has the materials that they need and unfortunately teachers don't always have the materials they need and so you also come out of pocket most times to get what you need," said Shannon Isaacs.
