Wreck With Van Sends Muskogee Police Officer To Hospital

A Muskogee police officer was hurt when a van collided with his squad car Tuesday afternoon.

Police said the driver of the van, which belonged to a nursing home, crossed the center line and hit the officer's car head on at 21st and Okmulgee Street.

Paramedics took the officer to the hospital for x-rays and a CT scan. Police don't know what caused the driver to cross the center line. He was the only person in the van and has minor injuries.

Police said the officer was not driving with his lights and siren on and was not responding to a call.
