A small animal shelter in Sapulpa is overloaded with animals.

Sapulpa Animal Shelter director Tracy Arvidson says if the animals aren't adopted soon, they could be euthanized.

The shelter, located at 515 East Fife Avenue, only has eight dog kennels but is currently housing 22 dogs, including a litter of puppies.

The shelter also has just as many cats and kittens.

"They'll have to be put down if we can't get them out of here, there's just no room and with more coming in every day we always have to take, we have to take everyone that comes in so we have to make room for the new ones as well," said Tracy Arvidson.

The shelter does not have a set deadline for euthanizing the animals.  Arvidson says they will keep as many for as long as they can, but at some point they'll have to euthanize animals if no one adopts.
