People living in a south Tulsa condo say they are being targeted by thieves.

One couple said someone took all four tires and left their car perched on cinder blocks.

Tulsa police officers say it’s not common for crooks to steal all four tires, but it does happen. Now, they are on the lookout for the suspects, while the couple just wants their stuff back.

Charlie Shumate's dream car won't be going anywhere since all the wheels were stolen.

“I'm pretty mad,” he said. “I work pretty hard and it was just frustrating to come out here and see all my stuff gone.”

Around 4:00 Monday morning, surveillance video captured movement around her car.

Theft victim Ryan Stricker said, "It took them about an hour to get it done - they were out of here twice actually.”

Stricker watched all the surveillance and said someone loaded up the first two tires and eventually came back and loaded the other two tires into a white jeep.

Neighbors say thieves have stolen out of unlocked cars, broken out windows too, and now they've stolen the tires. In many cases, they say, it all leads back to the white jeep.

"We have a lot of people losing a whole bunch of stuff - tools, car radios, tires cars themselves. It would just be nice to get some more help," Stricker said.

Police said the area isn’t known for high crime, so it's not highly patrolled.

The couple said when they moved there they thought they were safe but still had locks on the wheels; locks crooks were able to get around.

"There's a whole set of keys you can buy for these kinds of locks, and unlocking lug nuts is pretty generic. Unless you buy the specialty ones you're kinda just rolling with the luck," Stricker said.

Shumate said it's going to cost about $5,000 to get the tires replaced.

"I don’t wish anything bad upon them, but I would like to have my stuff back," he said.

The couple plans to buy a better surveillance camera.

Police say if you'd like more patrols in your area, submit a watch request to your police division.
