Motorcyclist Crashes Into Deer On Tulsa County Road

A Collinsville man was hurt when a doe ran out in front of his motorcycle early Tuesday at about 5:41 a.m. in Tulsa County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said Joe Richard Blissit, 53, was southbound on his 2013 Harley-Davidson motorcycle on North Garnett near 166th Street North when he hit the deer.

Troopers said Blissit laid the bike down on the west side of the roadway. He was taken to a Tulsa hospital with head, trunk internal, arms and leg injuries but was in good condition. 

The motorcycle was badly damaged, and the deer didn't make it.

A personal injury collision occurred 11-29-2016 at 0541 hours on N 113th E Ave .2 miles south of E 174th St North 1.5 miles north of Collinsville, Ok in Tulsa County.
