Tulsa County Leads State In Flu Hospitalizations

Six more Oklahomans, including two in Tulsa County, have been hospitalized with influenza in the past week according to state health officials. 

The Oklahoma State Department of Health says while there have been no deaths reported due to the flu, 28 people have now been hospitalized since the flu season began in October.

Last week, the department reported 22 hospitalizations in 11 counties. This week, the OSDH says there are now 28 cases in 13 counties. 

Tulsa County has had five confirmed influenza hospitalizations.

The new hospitalizations this week were in Creek, Mayes, Muskogee, Seminole and Tulsa counties.
