Our next storm system is quickly approaching with thickening clouds and rain moving in from the southwest. For those big Friday night football games, you might have to dodge the raindrops especially for those games across the western and the southwestern parts of the state.

Here in the metro there will only be a slight chance of sprinkles or light rain by late Friday evening. Temperatures will be on the chilly side with a light breeze out of the north.

Overnight and into our Saturday, it will be a little soggy and raw with a steady light rain.  Temperatures will be in the 30’s and 40’s across the state. Overnight, rain will be likely for a good portion of the area but nothing too heavy.

During the day on Saturday, the rain will begin to become scattered and lighter by afternoon. The clouds will continue to be thick with a northeast breeze. A chilly day for everyone, especially for those attending the Bedlam game down in Norman.

By Sunday, we’ll start to see the clouds break up with a little bit of afternoon sunshine and highs back into the 50’s.

A big time arctic blast heads our way for the middle of next week with some snow flurries and highs only in the 20’s and 30’s.
