TAHLEQUAH, Oklahoma -

Heavy rains left near-record flooding along the Illinois River near Tahlequah, and homes and businesses are underwater.

You can see water flooded over Highway 10 just off Highway 62. Cones and barricades are up. The river crested at 29.35 feet around 3 a.m. Monday, May 1.

The record set back in December 2015 was 30.69 feet.

The flood is expected to affect many float operations, cabins and parks. It's a critical time for those businesses, but it could take a while for those places to dry out and clean up.

Drivers will see law enforcement blocking off flooded roads Monday - like Highway 10.

Tahlequah Public Schools posted on its Facebook page classes will go on as planned but buses won't be able to drive on Highway 10 or pass Welling Bridge.
