Tulsa's First Street Lofts Renamed To Honor Historic Jacobs Building
TULSA, Oklahoma - A Tulsa development has been renamed to honor the building's history. First Street Lofts, located at 310 E. First Street, has been renamed Jacobs Lofts on First to honor the historical Jacobs Building, according to Ross Group.
Ross Group recently bought the space and are renovating the space into 28 loft-style apartments.
The Jacobs Building was constructed in 1918 and served as a respite for railroad workers and locomotive operators stopping in Tulsa, Ross Group says.
Louie Jacobs was the first known operator and proprietor of the rooming house that originally occupied the five-story, brick building.
The Jacobs Building now houses loft-style apartments and ground-floor retail spaces.
