Teenager Killed In Catoosa Motorcycle Crash
CATOOSA, Oklahoma - A 17-year old is dead after police say he crashed his motorcycle in Catoosa Thursday evening.
Police say the teenager was speeding down Cherokee Street near the 193rd East Avenue intersection just after 10 p.m. when witnesses say he slammed into a truck turning into a Wendy's restaurant.
"He said he turned in and when he turned in he just saw a headlight and boom... that's when the impact. The motorcycle did burst into flames. We had citizens here that ran in and got fire extinguishers and put them out," said Catoosa Police Chief Kevin McKim.
McKim says the teenager died at the scene. The teen's name has not been released.
Police say the truck's driver is being cooperative and it's not clear if he will face any charges.
