Vandals Take Baseball Bat To Mannford Mother’s Minivan
MANNFORD, Oklahoma - A Mannford mother is very frustrated after someone busted out the windows of her minivan.
Police arrested three people in connection with the case, and now, the victim is left wondering what to do next.
As Mikala Pickerill looks at her minivan she has a bigger question on her mind than wondering how she'll replace the windows.
"It makes me really hurt and really angry,” she said.
Her six kids are her first thought.
"They're amazing kids that have a real heart for God and are really loving and caring,” she stated.
Wednesday morning, they had to do something unusual to get ready for school.
"They had to shake all the glass out of their backpacks, so they didn't carry any glass into the school building with them,” Pickerill explained.
And now, the single mom wonders how she’ll get them to school each day.
Mannford police say Matthew Snyder and Ezra Schaeffer were both “extremely" drunk Tuesday night when Snyder took a baseball bat to the minivan in the Lake Country neighborhood.
A neighbor's surveillance video shows one hit was all it took to bust the windows.
"Everything has glass inside it still,” said Pickerill.
Officers say the pair went to Snyder's mom's house to hideout before Mannford police caught up with them. Officers arrested Teresa Snyder for obstructing an officer.
And even though they've all bonded out, Pickerill says no matter where they are, she has one thing to say: "All the kids and I can do is pray for them, that their heart changes and hope that they don't do that to somebody else."
