Naked Man Groped TU Student On Campus, Attempted To Enter Sorority House, Police Say

TULSA, Oklahoma -

Tulsa Police Department is investigating after they say a naked man tried to get into a sorority house on the University of Tulsa campus.

Brandon Sloan was arrested after they say he took off all his clothes and touched a girl inappropriately before making his way over to sorority row.

Campus security is now warning students to keep their doors locked and call for help if you feel like you could be in danger.

"Honestly, we didn't really know what was going on until after it was all over but hearing stories today was kind of like, 'Oh, that could've been bad if someone wasn't paying attention,'” said TU Student, Madison Fae Dorant.

Madison Fae was inside the sorority house when police say Sloan knocked on the front door, trying to get inside.

Dorant says this isn't the first time they've seen a situation like this.

“Safety and security has kind of been a hot topic on campus lately and this incident just kind of reinforced that," said Dorant.

Dorant is part of a group on campus that works to raise awareness for violence and sexual assault.

She says they work closely with campus security on how to make TU a safer place, like checking student IDs.

"We have a large force here on campus, larger than most cities have for their police departments. And our officers do a very good job of making contact with them and making sure that the people who are here belong here," said Capt. Zachary Livingston of campus security.

Livingston says the campus has cameras, emergency call boxes and key card readers that help make students feel safer, but you can't prevent everything.

"There's always someone out there trying to do things and it’s our job as security officers and law enforcement as well to try and stop these people from trying to victimize anybody,” said Livingston.

There are around 30 armed officers who patrol the campus on a daily basis and they want students to know they are just a phone call away.

“We tell our students and faculty here at Tulsa that there is no bad call to call us... We want that phone call so we can help people,” said Livingston. “That’s our job."

Police say Sloan appeared to be on some sort of drug and was taken to a Tulsa hospital for treatment. They say after his release, he will be booked into jail.
