ROGERS COUNTY, Oklahoma -

A tortured and tormented pig is safe now.

According to Wild Heart Ranch, the animal's back legs are thick layers of scars accumulated over a long time.

A game warden says the injuries are consistent with being used for training purposes – serving as bait to train hunting dogs.

Wild Heart Ranch named the pig Trooper and says he has been traumatized and that their clinic full of animals is not the best place for him to recover.  They say Trooper will be moved to Oliver & Friends Farm Sanctuary, where there is another pig like him.
