Search Continues For Washington County Shooting Suspect
RAMONA, Oklahoma - The Washington County Sheriff's Office is still looking for whoever shot a man near Ramona.
Deputies said the man was shot outside his home just outside Ramona in a rural area.
They said the man was assaulted, then shot once last night around 10:00. He is expected to be OK.
Right now, investigators are not releasing his name or saying where on his body he was shot.
Deputies said they don't have any suspects but they are continuing their investigation.
A neighbor said it's pretty common to hear gunshots out there, but in the 14 years he's lived here, he's never heard of anyone being shot.
"It's common for people to shoot out here. I mean, our neighbor shoot, we shoot sometimes, I mean just target practice, coyotes, whatever," said neighbor Seth Filippo.
If you have any information about who the shooter might be, call the Washington County Sheriff's Office at (918) 332-4000.
