A driver was killed after crashing into a parked vehicle on Interstate-35 near Interstate-40, Wednesday morning.
Troopers said the driver was northbound on I-35 traveling at a high rate of speed when he lost control. Skid marks show he did try to stop before crashing into the concrete barrier. Troopers said the car traveled down the barrier at a 45 degree angle, before slamming into a car parked on the shoulder.
"He struck the rear of the parked vehicle, it took the roof of his vehicle off. We believe he possibly passed away on impact," said OHP Trooper Garrett Henshaw.
Troopers said the car was going so fast that even after impact it rolled several hundred feet before coming to a stop. The victim's identity is unknown at the time, he's only described as a black male.
