Jennifer Knotts had just gotten into her car near Sheridan and Fred Jones Avenue following an event Tuesday around 6 p.m. and a man approached the passenger side.
“He came all the way up to my car and was like tapping on the window and like pointing for me to roll it down,” Knotts said. “And I was leaning down so I just kind of half looked at him and shook my hand and said, ‘No.’ He looked mad, but I’m not going to roll my window down for a stranger like that.”
And then she said he pulled out a knife and came toward her on the driver side.
“So I start getting really terrified, like what is about to happen? And he looks me right in the eye and just stabs the tire and it goes down immediately, obviously, and just like throws his hands up like I’m the jerk and just walks away,” Knotts explained.
As the man meandered off, Jennifer was able to catch a photo of him and call police for help.
“Then I broke down,” she told News 9. “I was upset. I was hysterically crying, just more thinking about what could’ve happened. It could’ve been so much worse.”
If you think you know this man, or have any information that could help police in this case call Crimestoppers 235-7300.
